When I was a little girl, I was taught that I had to dim my light and listen to my parents and try to fit into the world around me. That I must conform to social norms and be a perfect obedient girl. This continued on into my first marriage and once again I had to dim my light and not go against “the man of the house”. I suffered years of emotional, physical and mental abuse. I found myself sitting in my home crying with both of my children because my husband was once again out and was not planning to come home. I hadn’t realized that I had been in denial about my relationship and my life. My values and beliefs were non-existent; how had I fallen so deep that I barely recognized myself? It was at that moment that a fire inside of me was ignited, like a light switch that had turned on. I knew in my gut and in my heart that I had to do something to change my life.
I was miserable and I was determined to figure out how to take control of my life and feel true happiness.
I filed for divorced and started going to therapy. I don’t know how but I was determined to learn how to heal myself and overcome all my fear, anxiety, shame and guilt. All these beliefs that were holding me back from being my true self. Therapy helped me in that I was able to feel happiness and that a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. It motivated me profoundly to want to help others and so I went back to school and obtained my master’s in social work from the Graduate school of social services Fordham University. I also obtained certification in Transformational Life Coaching.
I feel that therapy helped me in learning about myself and where my trauma was rooted from. However, I had a deeper feeling that there was more out there past the prescriptions, a more natural approach. I then discovered holistic and spiritual medicine. In these different modalities I felt like I finally was able to experience a true change and an even bigger shift in myself than I have ever felt before.

I studied and became certified in different healing spiritual modalities to include master reiki practitioner, sound healing, light language, meditation, akashic records reading, quantum healing, integrated energy therapy, mediumship and psychic development. In all of this I was able to find my true self again, I was able to fall in love with myself and let my light shine bright.
And for the first time in a long time, I was able to finally find peace within me. I found my purpose in wanting to make a difference in other people’s lives. I felt a deep calling, compelled to share my healing magic with the world, to help guide others to heal their trauma and step into the version of themselves that is most aligned with their heart. I knew in order for me to able to fully commit to this work I needed to go through that journey myself.
